With an eye towards 2021, and confidence in the nation’s ability to address COVID-19, the National Hydropower Association announced a partnership with Conference Managers, Sponsorship Boost and the David James Group to create and launch Clean Currents, a new industry-led tradeshow and conference for the waterpower industry in 2021.
These three companies have 30 years of conference planning, trade show sales and marketing expertise. Together they have a long track record of success in managing all aspects of conference planning and marketing and increasing non-dues revenue through registration and exhibits/sponsorships.
Conference Managers, based in Herndon, Va., was founded in 1989 and established as a certified women-owned business.
“Our team is thrilled to work with NHA, Sponsorship Boost and DJG to launch a new and dynamic event in the energy space,” stated Linda Baker, founder, Conference Managers. “Together, we work to ensure that our clients, including NHA, have the best expertise in each area.”
Conference Managers will partner with NHA staff on logistics, registration, keynote speakers and site selection.
Sponsorship Boost’s staff of 11 works with NHA to create a custom trade show sales strategy that maximizes industry impact and revenue. Sponsorship Boost creates non-dues revenue for associations through customized sponsorships, trade show sales, and advertising and provides comprehensive trade show management.
“Sponsorship Boost is excited to work with NHA on their brand new tradeshow + conference that was created specifically for the North American hydropower industry, including conventional, pumped storage, small hydro and new marine and hydrokinetic technologies,” said Jennifer Kerhin, MBA, CEM, founder and president of Sponsorship Boost, from Middle River, Md.
David James Group is a full-service integrated marketing communications company that will leverage more than 134 collective years of association marketing expertise to help promote Clean Currents.
“We’re excited to work with Conference Managers and Sponsorship Boost on this project for NHA,” said Ron Zywicki, managing director at the David James Group, of Oakbrook Terrace, Ill. “They excel in their areas of expertise and we’re confident that our three organizations will help make this inaugural event a success for NHA and the waterpower community. And, of course, we’re grateful to NHA for their trust in us on this important launch.”
